Installation

Installation time must be prearranged through the Special Events Coordinator.  In order for the RiverMill to complete our job, all florists must have everything completed and clean no less than two hours prior to the start of the function.  Set-up personnel must be in proper attire (shoes, shirts, no cut-offs) before entering the RiverMill. The following are specific guidelines in regards to our policies. 

  • Personnel and property must not block the RiverMill entrances when loading and unloading prior to an event. 
  • The RiverMill does not allow the use of any nails, tacks, staples, or tape on the walls, floor, and/or ceilings.
  • RiverMill property, including rugs, furniture and carts may not be removed without prior approval from the Special Events Coordinator.
  • Drop cloths must be brought and used for flower arrangements and installations.
  • The RiverMill does not have or provide cool storage for arrangements.
  • Items are to be placed by the Florist.  There will be an additional set-up charge of $64.20 ($50.00++) if it becomes necessary for RiverMill employees to place these items.

Clean Up

You are reminded that most rooms will be ready for the event when you begin your work.  Therefore, you must clean up after yourselves.  Please check with the Special Events Coordinator for correct times.

  • All Florists are responsible for bringing trash bags/boxes for clean up.
  • No florist will ask a houseman or server for help without first gaining permission from a supervisor.
  • All florists are responsible for their own cleaning.  They must clean up after  themselves and discard all trash in the appropriate place.  The set-up and clean up must be COMPLETED no less than two hours prior to their event start time.  If clean up is not completed in the specified time frame, a $64.20 ($50.00++) clean up charge will be added to the event.

Break-Down

The RiverMill will begin breakdown immediately after an event.  Floral arrangers are responsible for the breakdown of their items.  Please check with the Special Events Coordinator for approximate ending time.

  • The RiverMill is not responsible for any flowers, pots, urns, or props that are left at the RiverMill at any time.
  • All florists must pick up their urns, pots, props, etc. within twenty-four (24) hours of an event.  Any property left at the RiverMill for more than twenty-four (24) hours will be discarded due to limited storage space. 
  • Please check with the Special Events Coordinator to coordinate pick up times.
  • Tables will be set-up for designer use at WRITTEN REQUEST and at the cost of $8.00 per table.

Equipment

All florists are reminded to check event end times as RiverMill Event Centre will not assume any responsibility for any props or floral.  This includes but is not limited to breakage, loss or damage.

 

Misc Notes

  • Flower petals and other thrown items will be subject to a $64.20 ($50.00++) fee for clean up.
  • There will be no confetti, birdseed, or rice allowed for use a RiverMill Event Centre.
  • Any containers belonging to RiverMill Event Centre are subject to a rental charge.  If we provide the containers, you must use a lift out liner so that floral can be taken
  • RiverMill Event Centre can provide votives, candles, and cups at a fee of $0.50++/each.
